A little more about me
My Story
In January 2007, I was 15 pounds heavier than ever was before and an MRI revealed that I had a pituitary adenoma (small, benign tumor). Even though it was benign, being told that I gained weight and had a tumor set off some internal alarms that I needed to do something about my health. I was out of high school for a year and no longer played sports, so my junky eating habits were beginning to show. I decided to get a gym membership and actually joined a women's soccer league as well. After two years of exercising and changing my entire diet, the follow-up MRI couldn't even detect the tumor. My healthy lifestyle switch became a huge passion and I wanted to pass that feeling of success and gratitude onto others!
So who or what is Ash Assault?
I've always liked to be a bit more than average at everything. I never just wanted to be exceptional at one particular thing so when it comes to fitness, I wanted to be great (not just good) at running, lifting, HIIT...every aspect of working out. I do have days that I designate for moving heavy weight, running 5K's or performing a HIIT workout BUT to make sure I am able to maintain the strength, oxygen uptake, fast-twitch muscles; I came up with the Ash Assault group fitness classes. You'll target each of the aforementioned features to improve overall health, which is the most important.
Your goals are my goals!
If you need more focus than a class setting allows, I also offer personal training sessions. I’ll first set up a free consultation where we’ll discuss OUR goals — your goals become my goals so together WE have goals. "Trouble areas," imbalances, form correction are able to be addressed when I can give my full attention to you. The best feeling is witnessing the progression from exercises that proved difficult in the beginning of training to crushing that same move after consistent effort & hard work! Seeing faces light up with joy and accomplishment is the most amazing feeling! I thoroughly enjoy that I am able to see this in people and feel the emotion coming through when a goal is conquered.
Fun Facts!
I am overly obsessed with my dogs! I have two — Kip and Kiya. My sister, Courtney, and I love walking our dogs together around Blue Marsh.
I wake up craving my coffee concoction that most of you will cringe at, but I think you should give it a try:
Mix in a mug - 1/2 cup quick oats, a scoop of protein powder, a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, and pour a cup of freshly brewed coffee over top! *chef’s kiss*
I love mornings!!! If anyone else wants to workout or run at 4am, just let me know! ;)
What People Are Saying
“
Ash is truly the best trainer ever! She keeps her workouts fun and exciting - I’ve been training with her for years and every time is something new and different. Ash consistently motivates me, encourages me and helps me achieve my goals. I always leave our sessions and her classes feeling stronger and with a positive mind set. I have had two knee surgeries on my left knee from tearing my ACL and Ash finds ways to not only strengthen the muscles around my knee but also provide me with effective modifications to assure I’m still getting a great work out. I cannot say enough positive things about Ash-Assault!

Ashlee isn’t just a trainer; she is your friend and your biggest supporter. She genuinely cares about you and wants you to reach your goals (probably more than you want to reach them sometimes). Ashlee holds you accountable and makes sure you’re in class working as hard as you can. I’ve been training with Ashlee for a little over a year and I see a huge difference in the way I look and other people are noticing as well. If you want someone who goes above and beyond as a trainer Ashlee is your girl!
